We are currently seeking novels that fit into the category of science fiction, literary fiction, slipstream or the generally bizarre. We are not interested in fantasy, horror, YA fiction, Christian fiction or erotica. Manuscripts can range anywhere from 40,000 to 120,000 words.

Our favourite writers include William Gibson, Chuck Palahniuk, Margaret Atwood, Douglas Coupland, Philip K. Dick, Haruki Murakami, Jonathan Lethem, Jack Womack, Ursula K. LeGuin, Max Barry, Bret Easton Ellis, Martin Amis, Ann-Marie MacDonald, Michael Ondaatje, Maureen McHugh and Jeff Noon. If you're not sure if your story is right for us, feel free to send a query.

Apodis Publishing only accepts electronic submissions. If you have decided to submit your novel for consideration, please send a cover letter and the first ten pages (double-spaced) of your novel. In your cover letter, briefly introduce yourself and your novel. This should only take a few sentences - we're not looking for a synopsis of your story, just a very general idea of what it's about. Also be sure to include any past publications. Submit the first ten pages of your novel in standard manuscript format. If you're not sure about what that is, please refer to this guide.

Submissions should be sent to submissions AT apodispublishing.com, with the subject line FICTION SUB - Author's Name, Story Title. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you put this as your subject line. If we see anything else in the subject line, we consider it spam and delete it unread.
