Welcome to Fusion Fragment

Due to a backlog of submissions, Fusion Fragment will be closed to new submissions until October 1, 2011.

Fusion Fragment is a science-fiction magazine. We are not interested in fantasy or horror stories. Not that we have anything against them - they're just not what we're looking for. As for SF, any subgenre is fair game, though our interests lean towards cyberpunk, slipstream, and anything with a little taste of the bizarre. Still, we're more than happy to look at stories from all across the SF spectrum. Quality far outstrips genre preference in terms of importance.

Works from 1000 to 6000 words will be considered. However, we'll still look at longer works, which would then be run as serials. Payment for accepted stories is $20 US. A paltry sum, we know, but it's a symbolic gesture. The unfortunate thing about the writing marketplace is that your story is almost always worth more than you're paid for it. Payment will be made via PayPal, so make sure you have an account. We buy First Worldwide Electronic Rights and hold exclusive rights for a period of six months. After that, you're free to shop your story around as a reprint, though it will be archived on this site.

Send your submissions to fusion AT apodispublishing DOT com. Attach your story in either RTF or DOC format and include both your last name and story title in the subject line. Standard formatting is very much preferred, but as long as your submission is readable, format isn't terribly important.
